In contrast to the last log entry, I thought I might mention a more positive development. Thoman Friedman writes in the New York Times about religious tolerance in Turkey. It's quite encouraging, and I'd encourage people to read it:
(For those not already aware, New York Time's articles require a username and password - for those reluctant to deal with the hassle of registering (or the intrusion of telling them the demographic information they ask for) just use "laexaminer" for both fields.)
